Story books as per requirement will be
collected by the Mother Teacher from the library/ Brought by students.
23rd June: - Std 1 Story telling by the teacher with the help
of book and props, children will listen the story carefully and talk about the
characters.
Std 2 and 3: children will
do word formation from the alphabets. After reading a story from Lib book.
Std 4 and 5: children
will form different sentences from the words given in the story. [Homework-
bring random pictures either by drawing or from old books]
Std 6 to 10 &12: Chain
reading in the class, from the chapter going on in English and Hindi. [Homework-
bring random pictures either by drawing or from old books they will prepare
interesting pictures related to book reading.]
24th June: Picture based story telling
Std 1: The teacher will
read a short story, put the pictures related to the story on the board,
children will imagine and they will form a different story in groups. So, each
group will come up with a different story.
Std 2 Story telling by the teacher with the help
of book and props, children will listen the story carefully and talk about the
characters.
Std 3 to 12: Teachers
will put 10 to 15 pictures at a time and children will come in pair to create a
story, teacher can add or remove pictures so that the children start thinking
differently and continue the same story. [Homework: bring the newspaper of the
next
25th
June: Newspaper Reading
Std 1 & 2- Pair
reading - Student will read one sentence then another one will read the next
sentence as a pair from the cards. Children will create a Graffiti wall in the
class.
Std 3 to 5- Children will
bring the current newspaper and read the paper as a news reader. They will
create their own headlines as per the news.
Std 6 to 12- Children will read
the newspaper and they will form the same news in their own words, with a
reverse expression. [Homework: bring a story book with one story multiple
character]
26th June: Story reading and enacting
Std 1 and 2- Children will try
to read a story with multiple characters, one child will play one character and
read their part. The story will be selected by the class teacher and Hindi
teacher from the school library. [Homework- children will bring their favourite
storybook]
Std 3 to 12- Children will try
to read a story with multiple characters, one child will play one character and
read their part. This will enhance the expressive reading ability and to become
stage free and narrate a story with a proper eye contact. [Homework- children
will bring their favourite storybook]
Children will create a graffiti wall in
their class bulletin board.
27th June- Book Talk
Std 1 and 2- Children will bring
one book each and talk about the book, its story, characters and illustrations.
Std 3 to 5- Children will bring one
story book and talk about it, why they chose that book, what is the story, what
is the moral of that story.
Std 6 to 12- Children will bring
one book of a renowned author, or collect from library, they will talk about
the authors and tell some more interesting stories written by the same author.
[Homework-All the teachers and children
will bring one book and exchange with their partners or colleagues on the
conclusion day]
27th June – Exchange and sharing of books.
Std 1 to 12th –
Teachers will make pairs in the class; children will exchange the books. With a
note of how that book will be helpful for the fellow classmate. Children will
get the scrapbook ready with the activities for the whole week. [one book per
section].
Make sure, the books for exchange must be
in a good condition
NOTE**- The above activities will be
conducted for both Hindi and English in the class itself for 15 minutes.
The homework related to the next day work
will go through e care a day prior by 3pm, so that the students may work and
prepare accordingly.
