‘All Labour that uplifts humanity has dignity’-Martin Luther King Junior. To celebrate this dignity, St. Karen’s High School, Gola Road assembled together and thanked all the working staff on 2nd May, 2022 (Monday). The day was kick started by honourable Director Sir where he stressed on the importance of both labour and labourers. Sampriti of Std. X K further spoke about the tiring yet inspiring phases of a labourer.
“It is only through labour and painful effort by grim energy and resolute courage, that we move on to better things.”- Theodore Roosevelt. With this thought in mind, children from Std. I to V bloosomed as labourers in the fancy dress competition, which was prepared by Elizabeth Miss. This visual treat was followed by a dance performance from Tenthers where they showed the strength, solidarity and resilience of the workers. A heart-touching skit- “The Real Heroes put forward by tenthers celebrated the spirit of May Day and swelled every helper’s chest with pride. The occasion was coordinated by Mrs. Manju Gupta and was brought to a close by Mrs. Seema Miss’s vote of thanks. The Principal felicitated the blue-collared workers with gift and gratitude.
