A motivational and career guidance workshop was organised in St. Karen’s High School by Madhuban Publications on 7th October 2021. The speaker for the session was Mr. Abhirup Banerjee, an Internationally Certified Life and Career Coach and Master Spiritual Life Coach recognized by the International Coaching Federation and a member of the Certified Coaching Alliance. He is also a certified NLP Practitioner by ABNLP, USA. He is the author of Achievers Playbook, a tool to get the life you desire and deserve. Mr. Abhirup comes with an overall work experience of more than 20+ years and an appropriate close to 8 years in Learning and Development. He has facilitated and coached clients from various industries, students from various schools and colleges across India and abroad and has helped people discover their true inner power. Academically, Abhirup is a Post Graduate in Human Resources from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. The main objective of the session was to guide and motivate the students. Choosing a career is a daunting prospect for the young students. The resource person reinforced the importance of handling the present time in a proper way. He triggered the students to adopt a growth mindset. He also briefed the students on how to choose one’s career based on one’s interest. A psychometric test was also conducted to test the ability of the students and identify their interest. Different careers were suggested based on the range of marks obtained in the test.
