14th July, 2019, Patna: The city celebrated Bihar Youth Skill Day on 14th July,2019 which was done to highlight the skills of students in fields other than studies. The program was conducted by state government of Bihar in Gyan Bhawan, Patna. The Chief Guest on this auspicious occasion was the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Mr. Sushil Kumar Modi. There were a number of events that took place in a series, of which there was an inter-school championship. Events such as solo singing, group singing, solo dance, group dance, one act play and skit competition were performed, of which St. Karen’s High School, Gola Road participated in solo singing, group singing, solo dance and group dance respectively; giving remarkable performances in all four departments and gaining appreciations.
The program was enlighted upon by the speech of the Chief guest on the occasion, who threw light on the importance of co-curricular activities and skills in a person’s life and motivated the students and other faculties.
The speech was followed by the motivational talks of other ministers, who conveyed the real meaning of talent to the people. The program was successfully concluded by crowning the winners from each department who secured the first, second and third positions respectively in their skills.
