Description:
An informative orientation programme was held at Pamela Hall, St. Karen's High School, on 27th March 2025, to guide both parents and students transitioning from Std. 11 to Std. 12. The session was led by Principal Seema Singh and Vice Principal Sanjay Joseph, with the aim of setting the tone for a successful and enriching final year of school.
The orientation was divided into two sessions: the first for students from the Commerce and Humanities streams, and the second for students from the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) streams. Both sessions were designed to address the unique needs of each stream while providing a holistic overview of the year ahead.
Key topics covered included the importance of school education in shaping the future, the Karenite approach to holistic education, and a detailed explanation of school rules and regulations. Emphasis was placed on handling the pressures and stress that often accompany this critical year, with practical advice on maintaining a proper balance between body, mind, and soul. Students were encouraged to collaborate their efforts in exercise, studies, and meditation to achieve a well-rounded lifestyle.
The programme also highlighted the school’s initiatives to prepare students for life beyond school, emphasizing the skills necessary for both livelihood and being future-ready. Parents appreciated the insights provided and expressed their gratitude for the orientation, which they felt equipped them with the tools to support their children through this defining year.
The session concluded on a positive note, with parents leaving feeling more confident and informed about the journey their children are about to embark on in their final year of school.
