Workshop Empowering Young Minds at St. Karen’s High School, Gola Road, Patna 28th June 2016.
In present times, keeping in mind the problem and issues concerning the adolescent students, St. Karen’s High School organized a workshop by the renowned Psychologist Salony Priya under the banner of ‘Umeed’ for the students of class IX & X.
Adolescence being a sensitive period full of storm and stress, ready to react to their feelings, Quick in making friends, need to be handled with much care and support. Salony Priya effectively tried to show how with ‘Effective Life Skills’ the life of these young adults can be moulded by overcoming the major hurdles in their day to day life and transforming them into healthy and well adjusted happy individuals.
She emphasized the role of Psychology to solve these sensitive and minute issues of these young people. The “Effective Life Skill Programme” revolved around the 3 R’s- Relationship, Responsibility & Respect.
The students listened spellbound to the talk of Salony Priya as she unfolded to them one after another “How to listen attentively” “How to live up to their dreams”, “How to manage self”, How to learn to be social to study better and many more topics which create turmoil in the little minds.
More than 200 students participated in the workshop.
Like all progressive schools, St. Karen’s High School has taken an initiative to sensitize the adolescent students in the school.
