The ceremonial lamp was lit by our Respected Hon’ble Director Mr D P Galstaun, School,
Secretary Mrs L.B. Galstaun, Asst. Director Mr. Edward Galstaun, Academic Incharge Mrs.
Sharon Galstaun, Principal Mrs. Seema Singh and Vice Principal Mrs. Anjana James, to
commence the program for the day.
St. Karen’s High School launched their Golden Jubilee Souvenir in the wake of a pristine,
cold and crispy winter morning with the golden jubilee song sung in the background by our
dear students on the 17th Dec’ 2016 on the occasion of its Annual function – Galaxy of
Stars.
The souvenir was handed over to Big Sir and Big Miss by our two young students
signifying the beginning of a new era and bringing the curtain down on the golden
yesteryears. Our Hon’ble Director Mr. D.P. Galstaun released the souvenir followed by an
ingenious speech. “A lot has been accomplished in the last 50 years, yet a lot remains to be
achieved”, he added. He acknowledged the solidarity of the management, teachers, students
and the support staff in his speech.
The students braved the unexpected winter chills and set the stage on fire with their foot
tapping music and performance. The play – The Ant and the Grasshopper by our primary
students left the audience enthralled and rapturous. A merry mix of dance performance from
modern to classical fusion in a beautiful blend portraying down the ages from Kathak,
Bharatnatyam to Lavani from Maharastra giving us a glimpse into our rich cultural heritage,
was presented.
The English Shakespearian drama came alive as the senior students staged the play
“Macbeth” a tragedy by William Shakespeare. The students received a warm round of
applause for their scintillating & brilliant performance.
The curtains came down with Christmas Carols thus awakening not just the spirit of
Christmas, but with fervor & expectancy awaiting to welcome the New Year 2017.
