An innovative English teaching workshop was conducted on 24th November 2023 at St. Karen’s High School, with active participation from all English faculty members across the St. Karen’s group of schools. The distinguished guest speaker for the event was Mrs. Gayatri Khanna, a renowned educationist and a valued consultant and resource person for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Mrs. Khanna is also actively involved in the committee for evaluation and measurement at the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Sharon Galstaun, the Academic Head of St. Karen’s group of schools, along with Mrs. Shefali Srivastav, the Supervisor of St. Karen’s group of schools. Additionally, the Principals and the leadership team from St. Karen’s group of schools attended the occasion.
During her presentation, Mrs. Khanna delved into six assessment tools designed to comprehensively evaluate the various subskills of learners. She highlighted the significance of innovative pedagogies such as experiential learning and the integration of art, multilingualism, as well as fostering pride and rootedness in India. The workshop provided a platform for educators to gain insights into effective teaching methodologies and assessment techniques, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of English language education.
