Description: A Spring Camp Meraki-2023 was organised in the premises of St. Karen's High School from 1st of March to 6th of March 2023. The camp was divided into four groups- Literary Club, Music Club, Art and Craft Club and Sports Club. The campus was flooded with blooming faces and jubilant souls-the students of 6, 7 and 8 of St. Karen's High School, St. Karen's Secondary School and St. Karen's Collegiate School. The inaugural ceremony commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and releasing of balloons-symbols of freedom, thrill and exploring new vistas. The speeches by our Academic Director Mrs. Sharon Galstaun and Honourable Director Mr. D.P. Galstaun enlightened the students. They came to know about journaling and about discovering themselves. Every day began with a Zumba Session and then the Literary Club had their sessions on Public Speaking and Street Play on Environment and Cleanliness. RJ Shashi was invited to train the students on public speaking and motivate them. The Art and Craft Club had their sessions on Pottery, Dot Painting, Canvas Painting, Flower Making and Jewellery Making. The Sports Club trained the students in taekwondo, handball, basketball, hockey, chess, carrom and table tennis. The Music Club had their sessions on Classical Vocal with the introduction of a few ragas, training of playing keyboard, western songs, beats of drum and of course, a cappella, which the students enjoyed the most. On 4th March, the campers had a picnic in Sanjay Gandhi Botanical Garden. It was learning with fun, a prime objective of Spring Camp. The culmination of the event took place on 5th of March when the students had their final training sessions. It proved to be the most cherished day for the students as they had their night out in the camp. They were provided with sumptuous lunch and dinner. The evening in St. Karen's High School witnessed a gala time as there was a carnival where the campers showcased their talents in front of the dignitaries and won accolades. Then they had a game session. The music teachers put up a great show for them as they enthralled the students with their soul-soothing melodious performances. The camp ended on 6th of March with the Lord's Prayer and a hearty breakfast. The students bade goodbye to their mentors and newly made friends from other branches and promised to join the camp again next year. When asked to describe the camp, the prompt response was-"awesome, nice, productive, wonderful, learning with fun, sharing time with friends, moments of fun" and so on. St. Karen's management believes in creating wonders. They are the potters who shape complete human beings.
