A training and awareness programme was conducted on 26th Aug,2022 under the banner of WL-CCI-DRR ‘The Chief Minister School Safety Programme’ (safe Saturday).
Mr. Christopher Batchwan, in his address to the students of Std. 8 -12 explained the importance of such a training when a disaster strikes us.
Dr. Santosh demonstrated how to make a stretcher with whatever resources are available to carry the wounded, how to make different kinds of knots to make the stretcher, suspensions and help those with fractured limbs.
It was indeed a very helpful session and the students as well as the teachers present there benefitted from it. He also demonstrated ways & means to carry injured/ unconscious out of building through practical demonstrations.
What students should do in case of earthquake, lightning & floods.
Road safety rules were also dealt with through a slide show.
