Description: The National Youth Parliament was conducted at St. Karen's High School on National Constitution Day, engaging students from grades 9 to 11. The session began with a general speaking followed by question hour, setting the stage for a vibrant deliberation on the agenda: Corruption and Unemployment. Student representatives participated as members of both the government and the opposition. The ruling party advocated for the implementation of various policies aimed at combating corruption and increasing employment opportunities. The Leader of the House delivered the opening statement, outlining the government's initiatives to address unemployment and foster economic growth. The opposition, however, presented strong counterarguments, highlighting the adverse effects of rising inflation, corruption, and the alleged misuse of government departments on national development and citizens' rights, including freedom of speech and expression. The first session concluded with the debate focused on the persistence of corruption and unemployment.
